Dead Actor Report for 7th Grade Drama
by Wendy Duke

Due by:

Your report must have:

1.A deceased actor as its subject, so that you can examine that person's entire career.  Don't be afraid to venture way back across the centuries in time to select your subject.  Check out "And Then Came Each Actor"  a history of Shakespearian actors.  It is on the shelf by the computers. Do not forget to look at actors who broke barriers over the years  people of color and women who finally made it on to the all male stages of Europe.

2.Three pages of text in no larger than 14 pt type.  You do not have to double space lines.

3.One page of images, either photocopied or taken from internet sources, or your own drawings if you choose.

4.A bibliography listing at least three sources.  One source must be from a book.

5.Your own words.  Copying and pasting from a web site or copying word for word from a book or article is called plagiarism.  If you are going to quote from a source, you will need to put that in quotation marks and supply a footnote to indicate what source the quote is taken from.

6.Please use the Actor Bio Worksheet to help you take notes and focus your research.  It gives you specific information to find about your subject.

7.Pay attention to good writing skills.  Check your spelling and your grammar.  I expect to read complete sentences that follow upon each other in a logical order.
