Requirements:

2 Pages, can be typewritten or handwritten.  If typewritten, no larger than 14 pt font please.

Your Research Report is due:

Your two pages can include pictures from the internet or photocopied from a book.   NEVER cut out pictures from books to use in reports.  You might also include a list of your actor's best movies.

Please use two sources for your research information and include that at the end of your report as a bibliography.  It might look like this:

Use the following questions to seek information about your film star:

1.Birth:  when and where? 

2.What were the parents like?  Did they support their child's interest in acting?

3.What did the actor do before going into films?  Did he or she act on

                 Broadway or in Vaudeville?

4.How did the actor break into the movies?  What were his or her first roles?

5.Name and describe your actor's most noted movie roles.

6.Describe the character your film star usually played.  Was he or she heroic,

                tragic, silly or madcap? 

7.Did your actor have a trademark gimmick -- like Chaplin's mustache and cane

               or Buster Keaton's never-smiling deadpan face?

8.Did your actor's career end with the silent movies or was he or she able to

               continue in the "talkies?"
